FAQ'S
Paint Protection Film (PPF)
MAD’s Premium PPF removes the need for any special care or polish, a weekly wash with a PH balanced shampoo is sufficient to maintain the PPF.
Once the film is installed, it will last permanently, its backed with 5-7 Years Warranty
Our Paint Protection Film incorporates layers of advanced top coating with super hydrophobic properties which doesn’t require any coating application.
Yes, our Paint Protection Film features a thickness of 210 microns which translates to more protection against impacts from stone chips.
Ceramic Coating is a liquid protective layer applied to your vehicle’s paintwork to enhance gloss, provide hydrophobic properties, and make cleaning easier. It helps protect against UV rays, dirt, and minor chemical contaminants.
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a transparent polyurethane film installed over the paint surface. It offers all the benefits of ceramic coating while providing an additional physical barrier against stone chips, road debris, swirl marks, and light scratches. Premium PPF also features self-healing technology, allowing minor scratches to disappear when exposed to heat.
Self-Healing Paint Protection Film (PPF) is an advanced transparent film designed to protect your vehicle’s paintwork from stone chips, road debris, swirl marks, and light scratches. The top layer of the film has self-healing properties that allow minor scratches and marks to disappear when exposed to heat from the sun, warm water, or the vehicle’s engine heat.
This technology helps maintain a smooth, glossy finish while keeping your car looking newer for longer. Self-Healing PPF provides superior protection, easier maintenance, and long-lasting preservation of your vehicle’s original paint.
COATING
Yes, our Coating Products are formulated to be safe for all surfaces including your paint. Ceramic Pro will not damage your clearcoat or paint and will not void any manufacturer warranties.
No, our coatings will not Crack, Peel or Yellow. Our products have undergone SGS testing and real-life testing in some of the worlds harshest environments, and surpassed every one of them.
The ceramic coating process typically takes 6–8 hours, depending on the condition and size of the vehicle.
The first step is to thoroughly wash and prepare the vehicle. Next, we perform paint correction to remove imperfections such as swirl marks and light scratches, restoring the paintwork to its best possible condition.
Once the surface is properly prepared, a paint prep solution is used to remove any remaining oils or residues and expose the bare paint surface. The coating application process then begins, where each panel is carefully coated, levelled, and layered according to the selected package to ensure maximum gloss, durability, and protection.
At MAD Auto Detailing, we use Active Star Graphene Coating, a premium coating product manufactured in Japan. Developed with advanced graphene technology, it is designed to deliver exceptional gloss, long-lasting durability, and superior protection against UV rays, water spots, and environmental contaminants.
Active Star Graphene Coating is specially suited for Malaysia’s tropical climate, providing enhanced hydrophobic performance and making vehicle maintenance easier while preserving the vehicle’s original finish.
Yes. Graphene Coating is a modern, long-lasting alternative to traditional wax. While wax provides temporary shine and protection that typically lasts only a few weeks or months, Graphene Coating forms a durable protective layer that can last for years with proper maintenance.
In addition to delivering a deep gloss finish, Graphene Coating offers superior protection against UV rays, oxidation, water spots, bird droppings, and environmental contaminants. It also creates a highly hydrophobic surface, making your vehicle easier to clean and maintain.
Unlike wax, Graphene Coating does not require frequent reapplication, making it a more durable and cost-effective solution for long-term paint protection.
Window Tint Film
According to the JPJ, the regulations require a minimum of 70% Visible Light Transmission (VLT) for the front windscreen and a minimum of 50% for the front sides windows. However, for side rear and rear windscreen can be up to 100%.
VLT is Visible Light Transmission. VLT is the amount of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass. The darker the tint, the lower the visible light transmitted.
Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) is the percentage of the total solar energy that is rejected. TSER includes visible light, infrared radiation and ultraviolet energy. The higher the percentage, the higher the percentage of solar energy deflected. Most tinting shops use Infra-Red Rejection (IRR) as a guide to the level of heat rejection. However, IRR only covers a fraction of TSER. Internationally, TSER is used as a guide as it is a more accurate way of measuring heat rejection.
Ultraviolet Rejection is the percentage of ultraviolet energy deflected away from the window film. Ultraviolet rays can cause upholstery and furnishings to fade. It can also cause skin damage and skin cancer.
After installation, it is advisable to keep your windows closed for a minimum of 48 hours. There might be watermarks present, which will disappear in a couple of days. If you should decide to remove the tint, there will be no permanent stains on the glass. Any leftover adhesive can be easily removed with cleaning agents.
MAintenance
Yes. Although Graphene Coating provides excellent protection and makes your vehicle easier to maintain, regular washing is still necessary to keep the surface clean and performing at its best.
For the best results, we recommend waiting 7 days before the first wash to allow the coating to fully cure and for any remaining solvents to outgas. During this initial curing period, avoid harsh chemicals and handle the paintwork gently, as the coating is still in the process of hardening.
Once fully cured, regular washing will help preserve the coating’s hydrophobic properties, maintain its gloss, and extend its lifespan. The good news is that coated vehicles are much easier to clean, and there is no need for waxing or polishing after the coating has been applied.
Maintaining your Graphene Coating is simple. We recommend washing your vehicle regularly using a pH-neutral car shampoo, a soft wash mitt, and the two-bucket wash method to minimize the risk of swirl marks and scratches.
Avoid using abrasive brushes, harsh chemicals, or automatic car washes with stiff bristles, as these can affect the appearance of the paint over time.
For enhanced performance and long-term protection, periodic maintenance treatments and inspections are recommended. Our team at MAD Auto Detailing can advise you on the best maintenance schedule to keep your coating performing at its optimum level.
With proper care, your Graphene Coating will continue to provide outstanding gloss, hydrophobic properties, and long-lasting protection for years to come.
To keep your coating performing at its best, we recommend scheduling a maintenance service every 6 months. Regular maintenance helps remove stubborn contaminants, restore hydrophobic performance, and ensure the coating continues to provide maximum gloss and protection.
The frequency may vary depending on your driving habits, mileage, and environmental conditions. Vehicles that are frequently exposed to harsh weather, road grime, or parked outdoors may benefit from more frequent maintenance.
Regular maintenance not only preserves the appearance of your vehicle but also helps maximize the lifespan and performance of your coating.
